Introduction
Use a Venn Diagram to compare and contrast
the characteristics of each of the main characters in The Pigman.
To compare is to use examples to show how things are similar. To contrast is to
use examples to show how things are different in one or more important
ways.
The Task
After reading The pigman, create a Venn Diagram to compare and
contrast the main characters. Once you've listed all your details, you
will write a paper discussing the similarities and differences between the
characters.
The Process: Exploring the Web, Creating a
Product
- Use the Venn Diagram to sort out
the similarities and differences between the characters.
- Write an introductory statement introducing the
characters in the story.
- Discuss all the similarities between the
characters.
- Discuss the differences between the
characters.
- Emphasize one difference you feel is stands out
the most.
- End with a summary statement.
