Journal Format
Please read the following
guidelines carefully and observe the required format:
-
Journals are to be hand written neatly
-
Journals pages should have your name, date,
and a day of the experience
-
Journals are to be kept in one section of
your notebook.
-
Journals will be checked regularly.
-
Journal entries should focus on what you
are LEARNING rather than on what is happening. In other words don’t spend
time explaining the stories, but rather focus on the experience. Think
about topics such as thoughts and feelings, behavior,
communication,
motivation, and what you may have learned from the stories.
-
Journal entries should be a reasonable
length. {Reasonable means a paragraph or two at the least!} (Half a page).
-
At the end of the journal you are to write
a reflection of the entire experience summarizing what you learned. This
summary should be approximately 5 paragraphs in length.
Suggestions:
Begin with
what you think and feel.
Add in what
may have been the same as in Daniel’s Story and/or other stories
and experience you've had.
Finish with
a reflection into your own life. What did you learn about yourself?
