Welcome to 5R! 

Thank you for sharing your son/daughter with me this year!

     I was born and raised in Ottawa, Illinois and attended Catholic grade school and high school.  I then attended Illinois State University graduating with a degree in Special Education with a minor in Elementary Education.  My first teaching job directly after graduating was in a Special Education classroom in Compton, Illinois near my home town.  My husband, Al, and I were married so I returned to Normal, Illinois.  I then joined the Unit 5 staff teaching Early Childhood at Colene Hoose and later at Eugene Field.  I took a few years off to stay home and raise our two daughters.  When I returned, I filled a 6^th grade job opening here at Fairview School and moved to 5^th grade where I have remained until present day.  I truly enjoy working with the students and parents at our school.  WE BELIEVE WE CAN FLY!!!!
