Since the creation of this course, Unit 5 has upgraded to the Office 2003 application family.  While many of the basic functions are very similar to those of Office 2000, there are some unique features and upgrades which are briefly discussed here.

A FEW FEATURES AND UPDATES UNIQUE TO OFFICE XP & 2003

  • Office XP's new features primarily focused on making common tasks more efficient, and adding some security and reliability to the Office products.
  • Office 2003 added new security features (i.e. password protecting documents) and attempted to make workflow more efficient and productive by increasing the compatibility between productivity tools, etc.
