This Course, Microsoft Office Cool Tools (Office 2000 Tool, Tips & Tricks) is presented as PDA #258 for the Unit 5 School District.  Your participation in this course will count towards your re-certification requirements and will better equip you to use Office 2000 in the education environment.

A FEW HIGHLIGHTS OF THIS COURSE AND ITS WEBSITE:

  • Information about tools you can use to get the most out of the Microsoft Office products.  Tools include books, downloads, and more.
  • Tips & tricks to help you get the most out of Office 2000.  Take what you can, use what you like, keep the others just in case!
  • Links & resources for additional information.  Several links are provided to online tutorials, sites where more tips & tricks can be found, etc.
  • Test your knowledge.  Your chance to see how well you do in an online test of your computer, Windows, and Office knowledge.  When you submit your answers, you will get to see how your responses compare to the actual answers!
  • Contact the instructor:  Still have questions?  Need some more help?  Contact information for the instructor is provided for your convenience.
  • The course will be 6 hours long, 3 hours on April 7 and 3 hours on April 9.  You must attend the entire course for credit or stipend.
  • You will be asked to use a good portion of the second course period to apply some of these tools, tips, & tricks in creating a practical lesson plan you can use in your class.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • A TON of information.  Sift through it to find what is most relevant and useful to you.  Come back to the rest later.
  • Examples and demonstrations of many of the most helpful tips and tricks presented.
  • A chance to share some of your own ideas, tips, and tricks to help others!  You never know what might be a useful tool for someone else!
  • A chance to ask questions and get responses so that your individual needs are met and you get what you want and need from the course.
  • Time for hands-on application and completion of practical projects you can use!
