What is
PBIS? PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral
Interventions and Supports. This approach rewards
appropriate behaviors for creating a positive learning
environment.

Where
is PBIS implemented? PBIS is implemented in areas
including the classroom and non-classroom settings (such
as hallways, restrooms, cafeteria, and bus lane).

How is
PBIS implemented? Green slips are given to students
who display appropriate behaviors and are intended to
recognize students who are being respectful,
responsible, and safe. "Red slips" are given to
students who display inappropriate behaviors in
classroom and non-classroom areas.

Green Slips:
Students can use their green slips to purchase basic
school supplies, popcorn on Friday's, passes to be first
in line for lunch, and deposit them into monthly
drawings.

PJHS Expectations

How can
PJHS parents help out? The PTO is always looking
for volunteers to help with popcorn on Fridays and for
monthly drawings. We would gratefully accept donations
(see wish list on the left side of this page).
