Course Description
This is a comprehensive introduction of health
principles designed for the promotion of healthy life-choices and
illness prevention. |

Course Goal/Rationale
Students will be able to understand the principles of
health promotion and the prevention and treatment of illness and injury.
Students will understand human body systems and factors that
influence growth and development. Students
will also learn to promote and enhance health and well-being through the
use of effective communication and decision-making skills. |

Six week rotation within the Physical Education
program. |

Grading Scale
A = 90-100, B = 80-89, C = 70-79, D = 60-69, F = 59
and below |
