Attention 8th
grade parents:
Plan on attending our “Planning
Beyond the Freshman Year” night at
PJHS on February 8th from 6:30
p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Presenters from ISU and
Illinois Wesleyan will be giving presentations
on:
A.
Career trends for
your 8th grader and how this impacts
high school course planning
B.
What classes
should be taken in high school for college
admissions? What other things do colleges look
for, and what does my 8th grader need
to know about this as he/she enters high school?
Get tips from these college admission
counselors, not just about their own
universities but colleges in general!
C.
Financial
planning for college – what can parents of 8th
graders start to do
This is an extremely
helpful night for you and your 8th
grader to attend to help the transition to high
school. This is not a duplication of the
high school orientation night that was held in
January at the high school. We hope to see
you and your eighth grade student on February 8th!
