• The cross county program had a highly successful IESA sectional meet on Saturday.  The boy’s team won the sectional and qualified for the state meet for the 6^th straight year.  Running for the boys were Austin, Logan D., Eric G., Blake, Wade, Caleb and Tyler H.  The girls qualified for the state meet for the 4^th straight year.  Running for  the girls were Shelby, Karen, Jessica W., Jessica L., Hannah Haleigh and Jaci.  Parkside is the host of the IESA state meet on Saturday.  The girls will run at 11:45 and boys at 12:30.

• The boys team won the Class AA team title at the Delavan Invitational placing all seven runners in the top 31.  The girls team finished in 4th place. Running season best times were Logan A., Sam, Taryn, Tyler B., Danny, Rachel C., Mike D., Logan D., Andrea, Alex G., Alex H., Lance, Rachel L., Alyssa, Amy, Jackson, Loraine, Whitney, Jack, Wade, Jackey, Emily, Adam and Mason.

• The boys swept the top eight places to win the race Monday against Chiddix, Kingsley and Olympia.  Austin won the race and was followed by Logan D., Drew, Tyler H., Eric, Caleb, Blake and Wade.  The girls placed seven in the top ten led by Shelby, Jessica W., Karen, Jessica L., Hannah, Bailey and Haleigh.  Running season best times were Taryn, Tyler B., Danny, Jason, Andrea, Aex G., Jake, Jackson and Adam.

• The boys were 2nd and girls 3rd in the Dunlap Invitational.  Both teams had impressive packs.  There was only a 36 second gap between 1st and 7th on the boys team and the same gap between 1st and 6th on the girls team.  Austin led the way with a 9th place finish and the 3rd best time ever for a PJHS runner at this meet.  He was followed by Eric, Tyler, Caleb, Wade, Blake and Drew.  Shelby and Karen won medals for the girls and were followed by Jessica W., Jessica L., Haleigh, Hannah and Jaci.  Logan D. won the open race and was followed by eight teammates in the top 20: Logan A., Jackson, Adam, Ben, Alex A., Lance, Jack and Alex H.  Winning open medals for the girls were Bailey, Amy, Michaella and Emily.  Running season best times were Sam, Bryce, Tyler B., Danny, Brady, Daniel, Rachel C., Andrea, Nick, Alex G., Steven, Norm, Rachel L., Dylan, Whitney, Erin, Jackey, Pete, Eric W. and Mason

          Dunlap Invitational Complete Official Results: Girls Varsity  Boys Varsity  COED Open

• Both the boys and girls teams won the Mahomet Invitational. Austin won the varsity boys race in a great time of 11:27.  Jackson was the first of six PJHS boys to take the top spots in the open race. He was followed by Adam,  Ben, Jack, Lance and Alex A. Amy finished in 2nd place in the open race. The varsity girls had an amazing race with Shelby and Karen running 13:01 and the next five girls finishing together at 13:50.  They included Jessica L., Haleigh, Jessica W., Hannah and Jaci.  The varsity boys had a 56 second split between the 1st and 6th spots with Eric, Wade, Tyler, Caleb and Blake following Austin. Running season best times were Sam, Bryce, Taryn, Tyler B., Danny, Brady, Rachel C., Mike D., Nick, Breanne, Alex H., Steven, Bailey, Norm, Rachel, Dylan, Alyssa, Jake, Zack, Erin, Jackey, Emily, Pete, Megan, Eric W., and Mason

• The 11th annual PJHS Invitational saw 46 teams line up and run.  No school had a better day than the Pythons.  The boys won their half of the invitational over Class A powerhouse Metamora.  The girls stepped up and ran their best race of the season to finish in 2nd.  Winning top 25 varsity awards were Shelby, Karen, Austin and the mighty 6th grade threesome of Eric, Caleb  & Logan D..  Other girl varsity runners included Haleigh, Jessica W., Jessica L., Jaci and Hannah.  Boy varsity athletes included Wade, Tyler H. and Logan A. Winning open race medals were Amy, Blake, Adam, Jackson, Ben, Alex A. and Alex H.

• We won the intercity meet with Chiddix, Kingsley and Bloomington on Tuesday.  The boys were led by Austin, Caleb, Wade, Eric and Tyler.  The girl’s team was led by Shelby, Karen, Haleigh, Jaci and Hannah.  Running season best times were Alex G., Norm, Alex H., Sean, Jackson, Zack, Erin, Emily and Adam.

• We had a very successful effort at the East Peoria Invitational.  The boy’s team finished in 2^nd place to Metamora (the only team to beat us this year).  Austin led the way with a time of 11:51 for the two mile course.  Other boys earning top medals for placing in the top 20 were Logan D., Caleb, Drew, Tyler and Blake.  The girl’s team finished in 5^th place.  The team was led by Shelby who ran a time of 12:56.  Karen earned a medal for finishing in 14^th place.  Running season best times were Logan, Bryce, Taryn, Danny, Daniel B., Jaci, Rachel, Mike, Michaella, Andrea, Nick Gazda, Alex, Melanie, Alex H., Steven, Sean, Bailey, Norm, Jessica, Rachel, Hannah, Dylan, Alyssa,  Jake, Amy, Jackson, Loraine, Whitney, Zach, Jack, Wade, Emily, Adam and Mason.

• For the second straight year both teams won the Champaign Edison Invitational.  Shelby led the way for the girls team with a 2nd place finish.  She was followed by Karen 4th, Jessica W. 7th and Haleigh 8th.  Bailey, Jess and Amy rounded out the varsity team.  Winning open race medals were Taryn, Jaci, Rachel, Michaella and  Hannah. Running PR's for the girls were Melanie, Loraine, Whitney and Megan. The boys team continued its domination placing all seven runners in the top 13 of the race and the top eight places in the open race. Logan D., Caleb, Austin, Eric, Tyler H., Drew and Wade were awesome as our varsity seven.  The open runners included Sean, Logan A., Alex A., Lance, Jackson, Ben, Blake and Adam. Running PR's were Sam, Bryce, Tyler, Daniel, Nick, Jack, Eric, Felix and Mason.
• The program opened the season in fine fashion against Chatham Glenwood and Morton. The boy's team dominated the meet by capturing the top six places and seven of the top eight.  More impressively was the 18 second difference between Austin's winning time and Wade's 7th place time.  Also running in the top seven were Drew, Logan D., Caleb, Tyler and Eric.  The girl's team finished second to a very strong Chatham team.  Shelby, Karen, Jessica W., Haleigh, Jessica L., Amy and Bailey rounded out the top seven.  Other runners turning in strong performances were Logan A., Jaci, Sean, Lance, Loraine, Hannah, Jackson, Blake and Adam.
