GOOD NEWS!- Child was adopted January 12th, 2009!

Each year the S TEAM sponsors less fortunate children in orphanages around the world. This year we have 2 girls, one from China and one from Mongolia who are awaiting adoption. This past June one of our first sponsored children was taken into a loving new home. With our team's help we hope that  the girls the S TEAM sponsors now will also find families. We utilize an organization called Holt International and the cost for both girls is $60. We asked that if students wanted to pledge $1 per month to send, then we would be very close to our monthly commitment. Many students have already signed up, Some have mentioned that they could easily pick up a few "extra chores" to make that $1 each month:-)

We typically send our money on the 17th of each month. If a student would like to contribute but cannot afford the $1 they should definitely see us and we can find a way that they can participate.  Our students believe it is a great idea to help others even if they can offer you nothing in return. Ms. Topping and I commend such a fine group of students who considers someone else's needs before their own.                         -Mr. Thoennes
