E-Team 6th Graders ROCK
"Keep on Climbing"

Our 6th grade team consists of six team members:

Mrs. E. Logan Beckman (Science, L.A.)

Mrs. Ellen Main (Resource Teacher)
Mrs. Christine Mitchell (Math, , L.A.)
Jane Rolfs (Instructional LD Teacher)
Mrs. Darcie Sivyer (Social Studies, L.A.)

We are thrilled to be included in the middle school and we strongly embrace the middle school concept. Our team concept allows us to integrate curriculum, plan special events, and manipulate the schedule to suit the needs of the team. This team concept also allows for increased student-teacher interactions, as well as, takes into consideration varied teaching and learning styles.

Your participation in your child’s education can really make a difference. Your child is aware of your values and attitudes and takes his/her cues from you. If you show you value literacy, they will too! You are your child’s greatest teacher, and we value you. This job we do in developing your child’s gifts is a team effort.

As a team, one of the best things we can do is to communicate. Things that are going on in your child’s life outside of school can have an effect on how he/she participates in school. We would like to keep the lines of communication open so that we create the best learning atmosphere for your child. Please contact us any time you feel the need to talk about your child’s progress or anything that is going on in his/her life. Another way we can keep communication open is the comment section on the Outside Reading Log and the Weekly Report that is sent home each Friday.
