Dear Pepper Ridge Families,

      We are off to a wonderful start this year at Pepper Ridge.  Our students have been working hard in their classrooms and they have been doing a wonderful job of following the expectations in all areas of the building.  A few areas that we are targeting this month are the playground, the lunchroom, and the bus.  We have been going over expectations on a regular basis and the students are responding by making positive choices.  I would like to ask that parents discuss and reinforce respectful, responsible, and safe choices at Pepper Ridge. 

      It was wonderful to see all the families in attendance for our Open House in early September.  One of the most important things parents can do to assist with student success in school is stay involved.  Progress reports will be coming home on October 2nd.  Please make certain to talk with your student about their progress and any areas needing improvement.  This is the time when we sometimes see student attention to class work drop off.  The excitement of the new school year is fading, and they may need a motivational boost to keep up their best effort and strong organizational skills.  Please make certain that you have scheduled a Parent/Teacher Conference on October 23rd to discuss your student’s progress. 

     As we move into fall and the weather turns cooler it is important to remember that we will have outside recess each day, and possibly outside PE, as long as it is not raining.  It is important to check the weather forecast to ensure that students are dressed appropriately.

     I would like to wish all the Pepper Ridge families a wonderful fall, full of fun with family and friends!
