A FEAST FOR PENGUINS
Tuesday, August 31st is the first restaurant fundraising event
for this school year. Rosati’s in Normal will be donating 25% of
their dine-in and 20% of their carry-out sales for the entire
day to Parkside PTO! All you have to do is let them know that
you want to support Parkside when you place your order. The Zoo
Lady will also be there painting faces as a complimentary
service from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Make sure you don’t miss out on

SHOW OFF YOUR PARKSIDE PRIDE
The PTO has a great way to show off your Parkside Penguin Pride- with a car
magnet! Just send $5 along with your child to school in an envelope marked PTO
magnet and we'll send you a magnet with your child in a few days.

What is Scrip?
Scrip is just another word for gift card or gift certificate.
The program is designed to generate money for Parkside
Elementary through the sale of gift cards. Gift cards are
offered in a variety of denominations. If you want to buy a
twenty-five dollar gift card you pay $25.00. Then, each company
donates a different amount back to the school (anywhere from 1
to 25 % of the face value of the card).
There are hundreds of options to choose from. Give it a try!
