My name is Ryan Weichman. It is with great pleasure and honor that I serve you as Principal of Parkside Elementary School. The wonderful welcomes and well-wishes I have already received have been fantastic! It has truly been great getting to know all of you, as well as your children. I look forward to more of these opportunities in the near future and throughout 2016-17. Please feel free to introduce yourself when you see me around the school or at district functions. As I hope you can tell, I’m very excited about a successful year here at Parkside for everyone!
As I’m sure you are all aware, we have an amazing staff of instructional leaders at Parkside. Teachers and staff have been working diligently throughout the summer to get our school and classrooms ready for you and your children. I’m absolutely astonished at the wonderful camaraderie, work ethic, and overall relationship this staff has.
Together we strive to form collaborative and trusting partnerships with all of our families. We know that by working together we can provide the best education possible for each and every student. Communication between home and school is essential. Please know that our doors are always open and we value your input!
Over the summer Parkside has also added some new faces. Jessica Horn is our new first grade teacher (leave replacement for Amber Thomas), Shelley Marsaglia accepted a full time position as one of our third grade teachers, Kali Caldwell joins us as a new fourth grade teacher, and Elizabeth Coe is our new fifth grade teacher. I believe I speak for all our staff when I say, “Welcome back! We’re happy to see you! Let’s have a great year!”
