Mrs. O'Dell grew up on a farm near Oneida, IL, and graduated from R.O.V.A. High School in 1979. She received her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Illinois State University in 1983 and 2003. She taught at Lee Center School District and at Dimmick School in Northern Illinois for a total of seven years. She and her family then moved to Bloomington-Normal, where she has taught in Unit 5 Schools for seventeen years. She has degrees in special education, elementary education (with a concentration in social sciences) and educational administration. She loves teaching fourth graders! Go Fairview Falcons!
Mrs. O'Dell, her husband, son, and dog, Buddy, live in Bloomington. Mrs. O'Dell likes reading mysteries, flower gardening, cheering for the Chicago Cubs and Bears, and spending time with her family.
