April Schermann has been the varsity softball coach since 2004, when she took over for long-time Unit Five coach Lloyd Hulit.  Schermann was a standout at ISU, where she played shortstop and second base.  Schermann is only the second Redbird softball player in history to earn All-American honors athletically and academically.

Curt Brown - Assistant Varsity Softball Coach

Curt Brown has been in the softball program at Normal West since he came in 1997.  He spent five years as the JV coach, and was promoted to Assistant Varsity coach in 2004.
