Golf Team Finishes Fourth at Sectional
Kaitlin Reid Qualifies for State:
The team ended its season at the Belleville Sectional but Kaitlin Reid gets to continue on to the State Tournament after qualifying with an 86.  The team shot a 381 and finished fourth in the 9 team field.  Playing for the Wildcats were Senior Kaitlin Reid - 86, Junior Rachel Clark - 91, Senior Kelly Farina - 99, Senior Kayley Pyne - 105, Freshman Rachael Weber - 115, and Junior Danielle Ritchie - 121.


Wildcats Runner Up in Regional
The Normal West Girls Golf Team were second at the Quincy Regional on Wednesday.  The team shot a score of 355 on the Westview Golf Course.  This will qualify them to play in the Sectional on Monday at Clinton Hills Golf Course in Belleville.  Finishing fourth was Kaitlin Reid with an 81.  Placing 8th was Kelly Farina with an 87 and 10th was Rachel Clark with and 89.  Also playing were Kayley Pyne, 99; Rachael Weber, 100 and Danielle Ritchie, 10

The Wildcats won the 2009 Conference Championship held at Ironwood Golf Course on Monday.  The girls shot a remarkable team score of 351 in difficult playing conditions.  Led by champion with a personal best was senior Kaitlin Reid with a 79.  She was followed by runner up Kelly Farina, who is also a senior, with a personal best of 80.  Finishing in 8th place was junior Rachel Clark with a 93.  Also scoring for the Wildcats were Kayley Pyne (Sr.) with a 99, Rachael Weber (Fr.) - 101 and Danielle Ritchie (Jr.) - 103.
