Varsity Wildcats
Tie for 3rd at
Centennial Invite - 8/23
Steven Mullins
fired a 72, Cody Helton
a 73, and Jordan Mueser
a 74 to lead the
Wildcats to a 298 team
total and a tie for 3rd.
Mullins finished in 7th
place while Helton
earned 9th place.
Varsity Wildcats
Place 6th at Coyote
Creek - 8/21
The Varsity Wildcats
placed 6th out of 20
teams at the Coyote
Creek Invitational in
Bartonville. The
Wildcats shot a 317, led
by Cody Helton's 75 and
Jacob Davis' 79.
Helton's 75 earned him a
tie for 9th.
Wildcats Win
Oswego Panther
Stableford - 8/17
The varsity
Wildcats won the 11-team
Oswego Stableford on
Tuesday with a score of
126. The tournament
uses the modified
stableford system, with
1 point being awarded
for a bogey, 2 for a
par, and 3 for a birdie.
Yorkville was 2nd with
115 points and Normal
Community was 3rd with
112. Jordan Mueser
won the individual title
with 35 points, while
Jacob Davis was 3rd with
34 points and Cal Clover
was 33 points.
West Loses to
NCHS in Match Play -
8/16
The varsity Wildcats
lost 3 1/2 to 2 1/2 at
Inwood in Joliet to
Normal Community.
Senior Kevin Henkels had
the Wildcats lone
victory, defeating Sam
Barry 2up. Junior
Cal Clover, Sophomore
Turner Reid, and
Freshmen Steven Mullins
all halved their matches
to earn half points for
the Wildcats.
