What made you want to be a teacher?

What is your favorite thing about teaching?
The people I work with and the kids.


Where did you go to school?
Mizzou.
 

Was teaching always what you wanted to do?
No, an NBA player.

How do you spend your weekends?
Doing nothing and watching sports.

Any big plans for the first summer off?
Lots of golf and a trip to San Diego.

While in high school what was you after school job?
Tennis instructor and baseball umpire.

When driving in your car what do you rock out to?
Ace of Base.

What is your ideal date?
Dinner and baseball game, maybe some golf.

Do you plan on getting hitched?
Yes.

If you could bring back any fashion statement what would it be?
Slap bracelets or afros.

Favorite dance song?
Cotton Eyed Joe.

Do you like kids?
Yes.

When you go grocery shopping do you use self check out?
Depends on how many items.

What is your relationship status?
Taken.

If you were abandoned in the wilderness, would you survive?
No way.

Do you like your parents?
Yes.

What's your favorite possession?

Interview With Mr. Phelps - PE Teacher
What made you want to be a teacher?
I realized in high school how important health and fitness is, and I wanted to be involved in a way that would help as many people as possible. 
What is your favorite thing about teaching?
The students.

Where did you go to school?
High school: Rockton Hononegah.
College: ISU.

Was teaching always what you wanted to do?
Nope.  It was always a toss up between teaching and farming.  As a teacher I can still farm in the summers.

How do you spend your weekends?
I do the best I can to relax.

Any big plans for the first summer off?
Coaching basketball, going camping, and hanging out in the left field bleachers at Wrigley.  Cubbies Baby!

While in high school what was your after school job?
I worked on my family's farm when I wasn't at basketball practice. 

When driving in your car what do you rock out to?
Lynyrd Skynyrd, Aerosmith, The Rolling Stones, the list goes on...

What is your ideal date?
Left field bleachers with a girl that likes the Cubs as much as I do.

Do you plan on getting hitched?
Eventually.

If you could bring back any fashion statement what would it be?
Hypercolor clothes - No questions asked. 

Favorite dance song?
Sweet Home Alabama.

Do you like kids?
Kids are alright.

When you go grocery shopping do you use self check out?
Depends on how much stuff I have and how many people are in the regular lines.

What is your relationship status?
In a relationship, not married.

If you were abandoned in the wilderness, would you survive?
You bet I would.  My middle name is MacGyver.

I love my parents.

Probably my truck.
