Mrs. Kafer attended a small high school in Varna, Il. and graduated from ISU with a Bachelors of Science in mathematics education. She also has a Masters in Secondary Education from Northern Il. University. She taught for 1 year at Rock Falls High School, and 13 years at James B. Conant High School before moving to Normal and staying home for 4 years. This is her 1st year at Normal West, and she is teaching Algebra Part 1 and Geometry.

Mrs. Kafer enjoys being part of the FMP program and seeing what a benefit it is to both the students and the FMPs. Her favorite quote is "Well done is better than well said." Benjamin Franklin
