Five Normal West students advanced to the National Speech tournament in Kansas City in June! Matt Dobill, Emily Dougan, Tyler Ross, Austin Travis, and Jim Duehr all qualified on Saturday. This is the most national qualifiers we have had in a single year - the previous record was two! Congrats to Ellie Marvin and the Speech team coaches and students!

3/3 Attention Parents:  A problem was discovered in the Skyward Gradebook system.  Emails sent through the Skyward Gradebook from as far back as December were not actually delivered to the parents.  The problem has been fixed.  Unfortunately, all of the emails that were not delivered are now being delivered, so you might receive emails concerning your child's grades that are outdated.  Please feel free to contact your teacher if you have questions, or look at Skyward Gradebook online for current information.
2/25

Juniors and Junior Parents:  All juniors and some seniors that have not taken the PSAE will be taking the Prairie State Achievement Exam on Wednesday April 28th and Thursday April 29th.  The first day all students will take the ACT Plus Writing. This is approximately 5 hours.  The second day of testing will be the Work Keys, Applied Mathematics and Reading for Information.  This is approximately 3 hours of testing.  There is no charge for the tests.  All Juniors will complete the registration folder in school on April 13th.  Students will be released from school after testing on both days.  Students will need their own transportation.  There will be no early buses.  If you have any questions, please call Mrs. Cochran at 888-6684 or e-mail at cochradl@unit5.org
