PARENTS/VOLUNTEERS INFORMATION
A BIG THANKS
to all those who
are volunteering! Your participation makes this a successful
program!!
LISTED BELOW ARE THE
GENERAL VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES NEEDED AT EACH GAME:
Concession Stand Sales:
We have 13 home games with 6 of those being double headers,
for a total of 19 games to work concessions.
- 2
volunteers are needed per game except on Saturdays when 3 are needed,
so we are looking at around 46 slots.
- Responsibilities include
setup, cleaning up after the
game and ensuring all concessions, tables, and equipment are
properly stored away.
- Each family will need to
signup for 2-3 time slots. The signup sheet will
be available at the first game in the concession area.
It will be posted inside the building for future reference.
- If you swap
time slots with someone for game announcing instead of
concessions, just write it on the sheet!
- If the game you're
working gets rained out, please select another slot
because we have 12 extra openings if everyone just takes
two! :)

Game
Announcer/Scoreboard Controller: We have 19 games
giving us 38 slots to fill.
- 2 volunteers are
needed per game - one for announcing the game, one to
run the scoreboard.
- Each family will need to signup for 2-3 time slots for this
activity. Signup sheet will be available at
the first game in the concessions area. It will be
posted inside the building for future reference.
- If you swap time slots
with someone for concessions instead of announcing, just
write it on the sheet!
- If the game you're
working gets rained out, please select another slot
because we have 12 extra openings if everyone just takes
two! :)

Away
Game Meal Plan
This
consists of supplying the team, coaches, and bus driver with a meal for the away
games that are out of town only. This is
an optional meal plan for the
players, but we
would like everyone to return their form indicating
whether or not they will participate, by March 19.
You cannot select which games you want to participate in the
meal plan - this is an all or nothing deal to make
coordinating a little easier! The meal consists of a sub
sandwich, chips, cookie, drink, and a fruit provided by a local
restaurant or a parent volunteer using the money
collected.
There are 10 away dates for Varsity and 11 for JV this
year. The cost is
$5/game, with the total being $50 for Varsity and $55
for JV. This is payable when you turn in the form :).
If more away games are scheduled, the coordinators will
determine how they want to handle it. |
Varsity Away Game Meal
Committee:
- This committee should
be 2-3 persons.
- Ensure 'meal order forms' are returned for
each girl whether or not they want to participate.
- Collect money for the
meals.
- Order food before each away game.
- Purchase fruit to include with the meal.
- Deliver
coolers to designated restaurant supplier to be filled.
- If one of the
committee members will not be at an away game, designate someone
who will be so they can distribute the food to the
team when they board the bus to return home and bring the
coolers home to return to the committee.
