Thank
you for your interest in the NCHS Café.
The purpose of the café is to provide students and staff with healthy
snacks. Many are involved in activities
after school and just need some energy!
We do not charge concession prices as most of our prices are close to
the actual cost.
The
Café is opened daily from 3:05-3:45 when school is in session. Two or three people can manage the
café. Put on the “Iron Pride” apron and
get ready for the mad rush. You become
everyone’s mom or friend for the next ˝ hour.
It’s time to put all the goodies out, prepare soft pretzels or hot
pockets. Time flies when you are having
fun and soon it’s time to count the money and close up.
Let us know what day works for you. Many of our volunteers come once per
week. There will be some weeks when
different groups throughout school will run the café for a profit for their
group. Groups can make up to $125 for 5
days. Maybe your student is involved in
a group that needs to fundraise. Let
their sponsor know that you would be willing to run the café for a week with
some students. You would come at 2:45
to prepare the café, and then work with a few students to
run the café. The students will need to
come to the café as soon as their 8th hour class is over. At 3:45 count the money, clean up and you’ve
just helped your group earn $25 each day!!

email or call me with the day or week that works well for you. I will send you a schedule so you know what
days to plan for. To help each
volunteer to get acclimated, we ask that they view the café in action once with
those who have worked the café before.
