Fiesta Bowl Trip 2008-2009

The Normal Community High School Marching Ironmen have been invited to participate in the 2008 National Band Championships and Fiesta Bowl Parade!!

We are hoping your son/daughter can participate in this “once in a lifetime” event.  Included in this information packet are: a student commitment form, chaperone commitment form, trip highlights and payment schedule. 

We encourage you to check out the Fiesta Bowl web pages at http://www.fiestabands.com/ and http://www.tostitosfiestabowl.com/.  At the Fiesta Bands website if you click on the Bands tab (second from the left) and then click on the Band Login you will be asked for a Login (enter: normal). To get the password send an email to Tera or Mark (address are listed below) and one of them will send it to you.  After clicking the Login button you will see a series of options. The ones of interest to us are: Accommodations Itinerary Flight Schedules Room List Bus List Participants Maps. These links will take you to the trip information that will be of the most interest.

TOUR HIGHLIGHTS (included in payment package)

  • Airfare to/from Arizona
  • Hotel accommodations
  • Coach Buses – Arizona
  • Participation in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl Festivities, including a televised parade competition
  • Participation in the National Band Championships to be held in the new Cardinals Stadium, with retractable grass field and closeable dome roof
  • Grand Canyon day trip
  • All meals while in Arizona are included in the package price

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • NO, you do not have to participate in this trip to be a member of the fall 2008 NCHS Marching Ironmen
  • YES, there will be monthly fundraising opportunities to assist with your costs.
  • YES, you can use your Band Account monies for trip payments!

COST INFORMATION

Package Price $1200.00 per student
Adult cost for chaperones/family members will be higher based on room occupancy.  This cost is detailed on the Chaperone commitment form.

Checks should be made payable to NCHS BANDS. Please notate your student's name and Fiesta Bowl Payment on the check.

Please do not try to have your student give any money to Mr. Meadows at school, as he will not accept it!!
