MARCHING IRONMEN 
 

Welcome to the Normal Community High School Band! 
 

Band is an outstanding group at Normal Community High School. The students in the band program work hard and are duly rewarded for their efforts, all while having a great time! Approximately 10% of the students at NCHS make the commitment to this nationally recognized organization. Many band students also participate in sports, clubs, student council, and other activities. In addition, some of the school’s top academic achievers are a part of the band program.

2010 Marching Season Overview 
 

Summer Band:

Session 1 Full Band: June 7-10 (1:00 to 9:00 p.m. Dinner break 4:00 to 6:00)

Session 2 Full Band: July 26 - 29 (1:00 to 9:00 p.m. Dinner break 4:00 to 6:00)

August 2-5 (1:00 to 9:00 p.m. Dinner break 4:00 to 6:00)

Aug 5th - Parents Dinner Potluck and Show - time TBA
 

Weekday Rehearsals:

August 10th, 17th    6-9 p.m.

Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings (on regular school days) from 6-8 p.m.

beginning August 23 and running through October 21.

 

Football Games:

August 27 – Home Football Game

September 3 – Intercity Football Game @ Hancock Stadium

September 10 – Home Football Game (Senior Night Tailgate)

September 24 – Home Football Game

October 15 – Homecoming Parade and Football Game

October 29 – First Round of Playoffs


 
Parades

September 6 – Labor Day Parade in downtown Bloomington

May 30, 2011 – Memorial Day Parade in downtown Bloomington

September 25 – Geneseo Competition

October 2 – Prospect Competition

October 9 – Metamora Competition

October 23 – State of Illinois Marching Band Invitational @ ISU

 

Florida Trip:
