Ironmen, is located in Normal, Illinois.
Founded in 1905, Normal Community High
School is a public school serving parts of Normal, Bloomington,
and Towanda. NCHS is home to over 1,800 high school students
(grades 9-12) and 150 faculty and staff.

3/17 |
Advanced Digital Media students have created
three videos and entered them into the 2010
Illinois High School Radon Video Contest. 50% of
the score comes from online voting. The videos
to vote for are #2, #3, and #4. Please click
here to visit the website and vote for your
favorite video. Voting Ends on March 31st. |

3/15 |
A CALL FOR PICTURES: This
year’s senior video will include senior
portraits taken by Root Studio, baby pictures
that seniors provide, candid pictures from
senior brunch, rehearsal and the senior picnic.
Seniors can turn in an alternate senior
portrait, but it should be on CD and MUST be a
head and shoulders view. All baby pictures
should be on CD and labeled with the student’s
name. If you are not able to provide a CD with
the image, you may turn in the actual
photograph. It MUST be in an envelop or baggy
and clearly labeld with the students name;
homeroom time and homeroom number so the image
can be returned.
Senior video pictures need to be turned in to
the MAIN OFFICE before spring break. – Thank you

NCHS Seniors – Applications are
now available for the 2010 Iron Pride Spirit
Awards. These awards, which vary in dollar
amount, are available to any graduating senior
who has demonstrated excellence in school spirit
at NCHS. Applications are available on the Iron
Pride webpage. Get to the Iron Pride webpage by
clicking on Parents from the NCHS Homepage and
scroll down to Iron Pride. Applications are due
in the guidance office no later than 2:30 pm on
April 9. Award recipients will be notified by
April 30th and will receive their award during
the Senior Awards ceremony in May. |

2/19 |
Congrats to the NCHS Mock Trial Team for their
victory at this year's ISBA Regional Tournament.
The team placed second overall and qualified for
the ISBA State Tournament in Springfield on
March 13, 2010. Individual awards were given to
Blake Cecil-1st Place Best Attorney, Harrison
Meece-1st Place Best Witness, and Eric Von
Wilhelmi - 2nd Place Best Witness. The team is
coached by Kevin J. Suess (Teacher), Amber Scott
(Teacher), Mike Malin (Attorney) and Amy Mobley
McFarland (Attorney). |
