The software discovery phase begins for many of the district buildings. During this phase, members of the U5IT department will visit building staff members to gather software-use data in preparation of the upcoming migration. This data includes any and all software that is being used on a day-to-day basis and documenting it per-room / per-staff-member / per-machine. We will use this data to compile the new image builds to help make sure all of the needed software is present after the migration.
Please continue to contact migration@unit5.org with any concerns. Thanks!

In an effort to facilitate and promote data integration, retrieval, and information sharing, Unit 5 recently adopted a plan to migrate the current Novell infrastructure to Microsoft Windows. This exciting endeavor will allow Unit 5 more opportunites to continue to advance in the area of Instructional and Operational technology.
The planning phase is almost complete and implementation will soon begin. Changes on the user end will be minimal and training will be available every step of the way.
Informational updates will be provided as the migration progresses.
Please contact the migration team (migration at unit 5 dot org) with any questions and/or concerns.
