PowerPoint 2000

Two Basic Rules:

Keep it simple - no more than 2 different fonts
Only main ideas on each slide
Be consistent

PowerPoint Guidelines:

Use the 6-6 rule - 6 words per line, 6 lines per slide
Phrases, not sentences
Capitalize 1st word in phrase
No caps - difficult to read
No punctuation
Bold text
Dim previous points (gets attention of audience)
Bullets make text stand out
Titles - should be greater than 54
Title no more than 2 lines long
Body - should be greater than 30
Use same animation for each slide
Serif Fonts are easier to read than Sans Serif (no tails) Fonts
End presentation with blank slide
