GREEN LIGHT = GO

Child makes good choices to follow the rules all day!  Child's name remains on the green light!

REWARDS
    
1. Green Light all day =
             -Playtime
             -Earns cent towards “treasure box” reward
             -Colors stoplight paper “green” to take      
               home
             -Stamp or sticker on stoplight paper
             -Green mark on class chart
     2. Green (or Yellow) Lights all week =
            
-Green Light Kindergartener Award given

               on Friday      
    
3. Green Lights all day for entire class =
             -Class earns cent towards class reward

 

YELLOW LIGHT = CAUTION
Child chooses to not follow a rule during the day.  Child's name moves to the yellow light.

WARNING

      1. Yellow Light all day =
          -Playtime

          -Colors stoplight paper “yellow” to take home
          -Stamp or sticker on stoplight paper

          -Yellow mark on class chart

2.      Yellow (or Green) Lights all week =

-Green Light Kindergartener Award given on Friday

 

RED LIGHT = STOP
Child chooses to not follow two rules in a day.
Child's name moves to the red light.

CONSEQUENCES

  1.  Red Light =

-5 minutes think time (usually at desk with head down)

            -Loss of ½ of playtime

            -Colors stoplight paper “red” to take home

            -Loss of stamp or sticker on stoplight paper

            -Red mark on class chart

            -Loss of Green Light Kindergartener Award given on Friday

      2.   Black = Child chooses to not follow more than two rules in a day.

                           Child's name moves to the black area around the stoplight.

-10 minutes think time (usually at desk with head down)

-Loss of entire playtime

-Pink note sent home to be signed by parent

-Colors stoplight paper “black” to take home

-Loss of stamp or sticker on stoplight paper

-Black mark on class chart

            -Loss of Green Light Kindergartener Award given on Friday
