Stage Design

Scenario:  Your favorite musical artist is coming to the Bloomington/Normal area and would like to have a concert right here at Kingsley.  He or She has asked you to design and construct the stage. 

Your Task: Design a stage like structure to hold 5lbs. 

Parameters: Your stage must be 1 foot high and have a surface area of 8.5" x 11".  You can only use the materials provided.

Materials:

1 sheet of cardstock

2 sheets of printer paper

1 sheet of newspaper

Evaluation: Your stage must hold 5lbs for at least 10 seconds.  5 points for accomplishing this task and 5 points for creatively designing your stage for your selected musical artist. 5 points for a correctly filled out problem solving loop sheet.
