What is Technology Modular Education?
Modular education is a teaching system that divides the classroom into multiple learning stations, each with a team of two students. Student teams rotate through a series of 3, 10 activity, 10-hour independent units of study, moving from one hands-on program to another throughout the grading period. As an example, three Technology Modules will accommodate 30 students for one quarter (45 hours of in-class activity).
What are the benefits of modules?
The heart of the curriculum is the Lesson Plan. Developed by a seasoned staff of educators and editors, each Lesson Plan is concept-based and focused on key learning principles, not simply built around a high-priced piece of equipment. And with multidisciplinary activities, including a career investigation in each module, students relate the course work to other areas of study as well as real-life occupations.
Modules are designed to meet national educational requirements.
