2009/2010 Eligibility Policy

Timeline for eligibility reporting and eligibility period (School Policy)

• Teachers submit grades on Wednesday
• The grades are compiled and I typically receive the report on Thursday or Friday. 
  While I receive the report on Thursday or Friday, it does not go into effect until Monday.
• The office sends letters home on Friday or Saturday
• The eligibility period is from Monday to Saturday.  (Even if the wrestler brings their grade
  up during the eligibility period, they are ineligible for the entire eligibility period.)

Wrestling Eligibility Policy

·         Wrestlers with 1 “D” are still eligible to participate and compete.

·         Wrestlers with 2 or more “D’s”, or 1 or more “F’s” are ineligible.

o   When they are ineligible, they will be suspended from practice, meets, and tournaments. 
(They are permitted to come to practice on picture day)

o   The following Monday, they will be expected to return to wrestling practice (unless they are still ineligible).

o   They are dropped to the bottom of their depth chart.

o   They will need to turn in their varsity jacket

·         Wrestlers that are ineligible 3 or more times during the season may be removed from the team. 

o   Please do not assume a wrestler has been removed from the team.  We will send a letter home upon dismissal.
