Dear athletes, friends, and family of Kingsley's Cross Country Program,

It is with extreme regret that I inform you of my resignation as Kingsley's Cross Country and Track and Field Coach. As many of you may know, I graduated from ISU in May and have actively been pursuing a career in the Bloomington-Normal area that would allow me to continue coaching; however, due to recent economic conditions and competitive job markets, it has been very difficult for me to find such a career. Back in December, I accepted a position with Marsh and McLennan Companies, Inc., an insurance brokerage firm with a large regional office located in Chicago, and will work full time at this office come mid-July.

Furthermore, I am actively pursuing coaching opportunities within the inner-city of Chicago. At first glance, the Chicago Public School District seems to hold a lot of promise with new challenges for me as a coach and mentor, as I strive to influence and better the lives of young people through the sport of running.

Lastly, I can honestly say that my experience with the Kingsley administration, parents, but more importantly the athletes, has been nothing short of perfection. Coaching at such a young age has left lasting memories and helped shape who I am today. I hope that during this process, I have also positively left my footprint within Kingsley and the lives of my athletes.

To all of my athletes: set your goals high, strive for your dreams, work hard to achieve them, and have fun while enjoying the sport of running! I wish all of you continued success in whatever academics and sports you may pursue. Good luck!

Sincerely thanking you for a fantastic three years,

Coach Mark Esposito
