 Philosophy Statement     

The Visual Art program at Kingsley Junior High school utilizes three strands of learning: Illinois Learning Standards, Disciplined Based Art Education and the Elements and Principles of Design.  These three strands are interrelated and provide a core of knowledge in problem solving, communication, teamwork, technology and how art concepts link to other learning areas.  The Visual Art department offers an extracurricular activity - Art Club throughout the year.
