Have
you noticed the plastic bins located at the entrance to
KJHS? The Environment
Club recycles year-round aluminum tabs for St. Jude's
Children's Hospital, dead batteries to keep them out of our landfill,
eyeglasses to send to Africa, and empty printer cartridges to refill. Please
place these items in the designated bins and help us recycle trash for
treasure. Also, we will collect used cell phones for Neville House, a
local shelter for abused women and their children. Cell phone should be
brought directly to room 161A and given to Mrs. Miskulin.
Flyer

on our district website at http://www.unit5.org/flyers
*Parents – If your child is
interested in trying out for ANY athletic
team they must be
cleared through the main office before the first day of try-outs! Coaches do
not handle ANY paper work
for the athlete other than collecting their goldslip,
which lets them know that they have been cleared. Students need the following
items turned into Ms. Heyungs: copy
of current physical (physicals are good for one year from the date of the
physical and must get them through the entire season of the sport), copy of
Birth Certificate on file, and an Athletic Permission form
which are available in the main office or on-line at www.unit5.org/kjhs/ Office
hours are 7:15- 3:45 M-F (452-4461).
If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Heyungs at HeyungsL@unit5.org or 888-6904.
A
message from the Guidance Office: Parents, at any time if your address or
phone number(s) changes, please notify Mrs. Dierkes at 888-6910 immediately
so your child’s information in Skyward will be current. Incorrect information
results in a delay in our staff contacting you either by phone, mail, or SchoolReach. Thank
you!
*Parents Only – If you are
reporting an absence, late arrive or early dismissal, you must call the attendance hotline at
888-6905. This number is
open 24 hours a day! By doing so, your
student will be ready and waiting for you to be picked up in the main
office. Failure to do this results in a delay for the parent!
Parents must come into the office to sign their student in or out of the
building. We do not accept handwritten notes from home for any type of absence
at the junior high level. Thank you for your support.
