luck to the 8th Grade Volleyball team
as they play in the state tournament this Saturday at Clinton Junior
High. The girls take their 16-6 record into their first match versus
Jacksonville at 2:15.
Math Counts – will meet on Thursdays from 3:15 – 4:15 p.m. after

Attention all Wrestlers

There will be
soccer open field for anyone interested on Sunday afternoons from 2:00
to 3:30 and Thursday afternoons from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. This is for any incoming freshman boy
who will be attending Normal Community West next fall!
Open
field will be held at the Parkside soccer field located on the corner of
College Avenue and Parkside Road. Any questions please contact Geoffrey

Any NCHS incoming
freshmen: Applications are now available for the 2010-2011 Student
Council. All freshmen will
become members if your application is
completed and received before April 9th. Please stop by the main office for more
information!
Student
Council applications for WEST are due TODAY. If you want to be involved in the high school and have some very fun
times – please apply. No experience necessary. All students are welcome!
Any students
interested in any sport – listen up! You must be cleared through the main office before the first day of
try-outs! Coaches do not handle ANY
paper work for the athlete other than collecting their goldslip, which lets
them know that they have been cleared. Students need the following items
turned into Ms. Heyungs: copy of
current physical (physicals are good for one year from the date of the
physical and must get them through the entire season of the sport), copy of
Birth Certificate on file, and an Athletic Permission from which are
available in the main office or on-line at www.unit5.org/kjhs/ Office
hours are 7:15-3:45 M-F (452-4461).

workshops for girls

policy. We cannot accept flyers from outside organizations at KJHS or
pass them out to students. These flyers are available on our district website

so your child’s information in Skyward will be current. Incorrect information
results in a delay in our staff contacting you either by phone, mail, or
SchoolReach. Thank you!
*Parents Only – If you are
reporting an absence, late arrive or early dismissal, you must call the attendance hotline at
888-6905. This number is
open 24 hours a day! By doing so, your
student will be ready and waiting for you to be picked up in the main
office. Failure to do this results in a delay for the parent!
Parents must come into the office to sign their student in or out of the
building. We do not accept handwritten notes from home for any type of absence
at the junior high level. Thank you for your support.
