  Dr. Mehall on Skyward
The following is an portion of a letter written on October 15, 2007 by Dr. Mehall regarding Skyward. It provides staff, parents and students some guidelines
   regarding the use of Skyward.

"2007-2008 is the first year for Skyward Access to teachers’ gradebooks.  We are pleased that so many parents are using Skyward Gradebook to check on their students’ grades.

Here is some information to help you in understanding how Skyward Gradebook works:

      a.  Grades will not be updated daily.
                  b.  Teachers will update grades on varying schedules.

Here are additional ways you may keep up on your child’s grades:

      a.     Check team websites for homework assignments.
b.     Check your child’s assignment notebook daily.
c.     Many teachers use grade sheets, so when papers are returned, the
scores are written on this sheet, and students are able to determine their
          current grades.
d.     Check your child’s homework at night to see if it is completed.
e.
Use the assignment notebook to communicate questions about
          homework completion with teachers
."

Skyward Gradebook will be turned off while teachers are entering their grades for the end of each quarter.
