Once again this school year, we will be
following the "star" theme to help our students focus on great
behavior school-wide. Here are some ways we will be doing that:
Catch A Star
Students who are caught by staff members
showing one of our positive traits (Safety, Teamwork, Respect and
Responsibility) will be given a gold slip. This will be turned in to
the principal for a star sticker that will be placed on a large
cutout star we will give each classroom. The student will place
their star sticker on the classroom star and then be able to bring
home the gold slip so parents can join in the celebration.
Mr. Myers All Star Team
Each week, classroom teachers will give the principal a list of
students in their classroom who have done an outstanding job of
giving effort in the areas of behavior, academics and social skills.
These students will have their names placed on the special bulletin
board in the office hallway and be recognized at the Celebration
Assembly.
Throughout the year, there will be random times when the All Star
Team will receive special privileges and rewards. (However the
emphasis will be the "non-material" rewards of knowing that they
have done their best and everyone is proud of them!) The All Star
team is selected using the following criteria:
