DIVE INTO READING!

On Thursday, March 18th, Colene Hoose students who met their reading goal in our “Dive Into Reading” program will be traveling by school bus to the Normal Theater to attend the movie, “Finding Nemo.”  Students in grades K-2 will attend in the morning, and students in grades 3-5 will attend in the afternoon.

Book Donations

Thank you to the many families who have donated a book in our “Adopt A State” program.  There are still several states waiting to be “adopted," including Vermont, Delaware, and West Virginia.   Please see Mrs. Harper or Mrs. Johnson if you are interested.  Books cost $18.00.

We accept other book donations as well.  Please check with us about book needs for the library.

Printer Cartridge Recycling Continues

Don’t throw your used computer printer cartridges in the garbage!  Please send them to the school library for recycling.   We are recycling them through a company called “Cartridges for Kids.”  Last year, we received almost $300 for cartridges that we recycled..  Money is used to purchase additional materials for our library. We almost have another paper box filled and ready to go!
