Puerto Rico 

Isla del Encanto it means island of  Enchantment!

   The capital is San Juan. 

 The population is 3,808,610.

 Puerto Rico has many natural resources including clay, gravel, rivers for water, salt, sand, soil and stone.  They us clay for pot and more. Gravel is used for streets. River are for water. Salt food and it is in the ocean. Sand is at beaches because kids like to play in then sand. Soil is for plants and so is water.        

 Some famous people were born in Puerto Rico like Ricky Martin first gained his fame in the Latin pop group Menudo . We know him well from the song Livin' La Vida Loca. Another famous person is  Robert Clemente  is one of the best baseball player in the world. That is some famous people in Puerto Rico.

  In Puerto Rico the landscape is very beautiful because of all the waterfalls, oceans, mountains, and rain forests.  The climate is warm and moist.  Also in January is 73 degrees, but in July the temperature is 80 degrees.  

  State flower, Maga is very beautiful because of it's unique color bright pink.  the state bird is also beautiful, Rienita .  The  state tree is called   ceiba .        

  The Major Cities are San Juan, Carolina, and Caguas.    

    Some of the wildlife and vegetation are bats, guinea pigs, mongoose, Puerto Rico Paso Fino horse. Birds: booby, tern, parrot, and lots more. Reptiles and Amphibians: gecko, coqui, lizards, snakes, and Iguana. Plants: African tulip, barrel cactus, bread fruit, and a lot more. Fish: barracuda, snapper, tuna, shark, red strip grouper, and lots more.

    Some of the bodies of water are Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea, Le plata River, Culebrinas River, Mona Passage, and Arecibe River. 

    Some interesting facts that Mosquito Bay lights up at night blue and light blue. They rescued 25 parrots and birds, in the year 1989.
