Hoose Students Help Break "Gettysburg" Record
02|12|09   —  As reported in the Bloomington Pantagraph

Local Lincoln fans, including many Colene Hoose Elementary students gathered around Central Illinois for a record-breaking mass recitation of "The Gettysburg Address." Hoose students gathered around the flag pole at 9:30 a.m. on what would have been President Abraham Lincoln's 200th birthday to recite the famous speech. The commemoration was done in conjunction with a state-wide effort to break the mark of the largest simultaneous reading of the speech ever. Several Hoose students are prominently featured in a video diary on the Pantagraph's website (www.pantagraph.com)
