Have you ever picked up a great book and just couldn’t put it down? I have. The book I read was called Poppy. It’s a great fantasy book about a little deer mouse named Poppy. In this book there was an owl named Mr. Orax he thought he owned Dimwood Forest. I think many people who enjoy animals will enjoy this book.
I enjoyed this book a lot and I think you will too. When I first saw this book it looked really interesting. I read the back and then I realized that this book was meant for me. I’m finished with this book now, but I’m reading the second book, it’s called Poppy and Rye. It’s a good book too, but I like the first one better.
If you ever get into the Adventures of Dimwood Forest Series you should read them all they are really good books. Also they have a really good author, Avi.
I would definitely recommend this book to people who love animals. I really enjoyed this boo because it had a lot of adventure in it. Sometimes if I really got interested in the book I could feel what the main character was feeling. The book has a mouse who faces her fears and tries to stand up to Mr. Orax the owl. Her problem is her parents are mad at her and won’t let her go outside because so almost got killed because she broke one of Mr. Orax’s rules.
I would give this book ten stars because of its amazing adventure and caring, loving, characters. If you are really interested in outstanding adventures you should read this book.
