The
Legend Of Lady Ilena is part mystery, part historical fiction. Ilena is
depressed when her father dies and his last words to her are “go to Dun Aluyn
find Ryamen.” She sets out on a journey dressed as a man with only her sword
and spears for protection. She battles evil men and meets friendly people. Ilena
wants to know about her past and Ryamen is the only one who can tell her. But
the woman suddenly disappears. Who will help her now? Ilena meets Spusscio who
takes her to the chief. They must prepare for battle and bring allies quickly.
The pair sets out for a fast ride and comes back with people. A surprising
battle with many dieing leaves Ilena in a position she would never have thought
she would have to be in. Ilena is a girl who has lived with one set of people
her whole life and now knows who she truly belongs too.
This story keeps going and never slows down. You feel as if you are
running throughout the whole thing and by the time it is finished you are as
tired as Ilena. This book keeps you
wanting to know more about the main character from the very beginning, you will
want to read it straight through without stopping.
