In Gregor The Overlander you first meet Gregor as a poor city boy. He must look after his little sister Boots the whole summer instead of going to camp. While doing laundry Boots falls into a hole. Gregor rushes after her. Down down down they fall into a land of adventure that waits in the underworld. Gregor meets Queen to be Luxa and her cousin Henry. A good friend Vikus explains a prophecy and they conclude that Gregor is something he doesn’t want to be. Gregor and his party of twelve start out on a quest to get a very important someone back and to save the underworld from war forever. Gregor must fight the rats to get the person he loves most back from the animals that will become his enemies forever. Collins brings the book to a very very very very very exciting conclusion leaving you on the tip of your chair in excitement the whole time. I really enjoyed the excitement in this book and think others will as well. Gregor and his bond are loving characters whom you will treasure for life.
