Have you read The Wreckers? If you have you'll love this book.  This book is a sequel to The Wreckers.  Have you guessed it yet?  You're right it’s The Smugglers. 

The main characters are, Mr. John Spencer, a daring sixteen year old, who will go to great lengths to save himself, and to get to his father in England.  John must figure out a way to get through his problems.       

John is on a boat, the Dragon, filled with pirates.  John has a big problem on his hands.  He thinks he has made friends with Tommy Dasher; a big man who's afraid of the water.  Will Tom betray him?  John is a strong man but is he strong enough?  He has to deal with four pirates and one of them wants to kill him.  In the end three people will die.  Will john be one of them? 

I liked everything about this book. The pace is very fast.  There are lots of realistic details, so real it almost felt like you were there helping John through his epic adventure.

I would recommend this book any time, any day. Readers from age twelve to older will enjoy this book.  Weather your a boy or girl you should read this book.
