regularly but is less complete, or select from a list of months

What is Parents as Partners?
Parents as Partners were formed 11 years ago by the Director
of Special Education and parents of children with
disabilities. The intent of the group is to:

Provide all parents the opportunity to meet
with
Dr. Hartseil
and give him information from a parent’s
perspective.

Provide feedback on current operations so
that necessary changes can be identified and made.

Assist in designing and implementing
procedures that would help parents better understand the
special education process and thus better the educational
approach for their child(ren).

Design training opportunities for parents
and staff on topics related to the education of students
with disabilities.

Act as a resource/advocate for other
parents. Coach/Mentor other parents who are unsure of the
special education process or what is expected from them in
meetings. This group has served as support for these parents
and provided them with information.
