Diversity Advisory Committee (DAC)
The Diversity Advisory Committee (DAC) is a standing
Superintendent’s Committee whose members engage in study of
timely diversity-related topics and diversity improvement
planning.
DAC members and the Superintendent collaborate to determine the
nature of projects and activities. Recent DAC projects have
included the formulation of: a comprehensive district
improvement plan; alternative literature selection
recommendations; a revised Unit 5 Diversity Plan; staff training
activities; and a Diversity Resource Guide.

DAC News
At its July 11, 2007 regular meeting, the Unit 5 Board of
Education approved proposed revisions to the Unit 5 Diversity
Plan for the 2007-2008 academic year. The 2007-2008 Unit 5
