Preterite Review-Jeopardy...Preterite Final on 4/29
\¡Bienvenidos
a
la clase de Señora White!
Learning a foreign language can be an exciting experience, especially when
the new language is used in a variety of ways. During our year
together we will be interacting in Spanish with listening, speaking,
reading, and writing activities. We may even be doing some
role-playing too.
Keys
to Success in Learning Spanish:
Thoroughly learn all
the new vocabulary and grammar in each lesson. This is a fundamental
part of the study of a foreign language. Our book will isolate the new
vocabulary to find easily. All the dialogs, exercises, and activities
are intended to help you learn to communicate in this new language.
However, it is your responsibility to study on your own as well! When
you are doing your homework, say the sentences to yourself to practice the
sounds and
to help you understand and learn better.
Make the study of
Spanish part of your regular study routine, even if you have no written
homework. Study your Spanish each day in short 10-15 minute blocks of
time alone, with a classmate or with a friend who is also studying Spanish.
Have someone say the
English word while the other writes the Spanish word.
Cover the Spanish word
list, look at the English meaning, and try to recall, spell, and pronounce
the Spanish words or expressions.
Make and use a set of
picture or word flash cards to evoke the Spanish vocabulary.
Most importantly, be
open to new experiences and willing to take risks. You will be
rewarded for your efforts!
