When you multiply by 6, all your answers will be even numbers. Sometimes it helps to remember your five facts, and know that there is one more in a group of six. Sometimes we refer to six by saying a half dozen. Look at the picture below:
There are six white stripes on an American flag. If there are three flags altogether, how many white stripes are there in all? The multiplication problem would be 6 x 3 = 18 The array shows six white stripes on a flag, three flags altogether, for a total for 18 white stripes
