  • Hard work and dedication – an athlete that consistently works hard can defeat someone with more natural ability
  • Attitude – a proper mental state will enhance your physical conditions and ability
  • Water – your body needs to be well hydrated throughout the season, especially meet days
  • Diet – balance and moderation, avoid junk foods that are high in fat content, fuel yourself with foods rich in vitamins and energy, do not eat within two hours before competition or practice
