Meet Competition

Every cross-country meet is a little different depending on the host school and the size of the meet. The coach will inform the runners of the exact set up of the meet at the practice prior to the meet.  

Some smaller meets will just run every competitor together and then score the top 5 men and top 5 women for the team results.  Every runner will receive a place and time.

Some larger invitational will run more than one race.  They will have a Varsity race and a JV race.  The top 7-10 runners from the boys and girls team will run in the Varsity race.  Other competitors will compete in the open race.

 The members of the varsity team can vary from meet to meet.
